This is it. I've ascended into the rank of the Bloggers. Never thought I would.
But then this morning I got to thinking about it. Well, really I started thinking about it a few months back. You see, my girlfriend/fiance'/soon-to-be-wife continually gives me a hard time about some of my hobbies. She calls me a nerd. I don't feel picked on. And she thinks it's funny.
Most of the things I like doing involve being in the garage. A man's garage is nothing less than his castle. Specifically I like creating things. This usually involves welding, cutting, bending, grinding, painting, measuring, and most recently, anodizing. And often much more than that. It's therapeutic. It's sometimes courageous. It's not often disastrous.
So the thing I got to thinking about a few months back was that I would like to share some of my discoveries with the known world. Some of these things I've come across with quite a bit of pain in the research department. Some things have been easier. Some things I've wanted to take on, and thought would be a common thought to everyone in the same situation, just don't exist. Or else the people that have already done it haven't shared it yet.
Please look at The Nerdy Things I Do with a kind eye. After all, it's just the nerdy things I do! I know if you share the nerdy thing you do, the nerdy thing I do will get to be better and better! If you have a comment -- please share. If you have found a better way to do it -- please share! If you know more about it than I do -- please share! If you're going to rag on me about how much of nerd I am -- go away!

Knurd! It is never the sum of the parts in our case. It is the journey. Accumulate as many parts of everything to fertilize the creative mind. Terminal Ferrousitis is a good thing.
Big black sooty clouds to you buddy,
